Russian couple reunited after 60 years apart

Anna and Boris Kozlov were married just 3 days before he had to leave to rejoin his Red Army unit. By the time he came back, Anna’s family had been exiled to Siberia and they weren’t able to find each other for the next 60 years.

Fast forward sixty years to 2008 when Anna returned to her hometown of Borovlyanka in Siberia and as she looked up the street from her old home, she spotted Boris who had randomly come to visit his parents’ grave the same day.

He ran to her and said “My darling, I’ve been waiting for you for so long. My love, my life…” In the 60 years apart, Anna’s mother had burned all the letters, poems, and wedding photos of Boris.

Both of them had dated and married other people in the mean time. However, they were both widowed when they met again and decided to remarry at their old age of 80.
